The absolute top of everyone's Bucket List was made into an exciting half day tour for you. It includes two of the four temples that are featured on the Thai Baht coins (10 THB and 1 THB), completed with the temple where Thailand's first school for traditional medicine and massage was established. The absolute best photo ops in Bangkok!

  • typical local snack and herbal drink

  • the famous 'Reclining Buddha'

  • the majestic Grand Palace

  • the Emerald Buddha

  • Thailand's first massage school

  • the Temple of Dawn's beautiful design

  • Full day: 8.30-16.30, Mon-Wed-Fri

  • Half day: 13.00-16.30, every day

Walking Area and Meeting Point:

  • Full day: Walk starts near Hualampong Train Station (2 min walk from MRT station - see map url or explanation below)

  • Half day: Walk starts at Saphan Taksin pier, in front of the river taxi ticket booth (see map url or explanation below)

  • Walk finishes near the river, from where you can return to BTS/MRT via river taxi

Good to know:

  • The Grand Palace is hardly ever closed throughout the year, despite what some 'helpful people' might want you to believe. On certain occasions it may be partly closed for temporary events, but virtually never closed for the whole day.

  •  The full day tour can be booked for single travellers.

  • The full day tour is a combination of the Dragon's Belly and the Bucket List, our two most popular half day walks.

  • The full day tour does not include lunch, as there are too many options for every budget, taste and diet available. It is better to choose on the day after communication with your guide.

  • Half day tour bookings need a minimum of 2 travellers per booking.

  • Dress code for Grand Palace

Meeting Point for Full Day tour [08:30]:

Hualampong MRT station exit 2. There are 2 stations called Hualampong: the MRT station and the train station - they are not far apart and are connected through a corridor. The easiest way is to follow the coordinates on your Google Maps - they should take you within metres of the meeting point.

Take the MRT until Hualampong station. Take exit 2 (exit 2 and 3 can be easily confused!) and walk until the end of the corridor, up the escalator, where you will meet the guide.

Should you be coming by different transport, just make your way to Hualampong Train station and wait at the MRT exit next to the train station. If you get lost at the train station, there is an English-speaking information desk - just ask for the MRT entrance.

Meeting Point for Half Day tour [13:00]:

In front of the ticket booths at the Central Pier, aka Saphan Taksin pier. You can recognise your guide by their black cap and/or T-shirts, both of which feature our yellow logo.

The meeting point can be reached easiest via the BTS (Saphan Taksin station), which stops right above the pier  or via any of the river boat taxis (blue flag, orange flag, etc...). Just ask the ticket salespeople to alert you to Saphan Taksin (it is the Central Pier).

Half day bookings need a minimum of 2 travellers per booking.

It was a pleasure having Noi as our tour guide for the entire day. He was informative when we asked questions about certain historic and current facts about Bangkok. The tour was a great introduction and allowed us to travel freely without asking for assistance. Make sure you're comfortable with walking miles, as you won't realize due to your attention of sightseeing. The value of the tour is worth it and you won't be disappointed. Make sure you ask questions you would like answered and Noi will happily answer them for you. Enjoy your experience!!!
